You should be very, very concerned, Diane

Diane --

I've served in the United States Senate as part of the majority, and I've also spent some time as the minority party.

Trust me, Diane -- being in the minority is not how you get anything done.

Chip in $3 or more to support Democrats before tonight's fundraising deadline, and make sure Democrats hold on to our majority.

If you want to make sure that bills like Paul Ryan's budget have no chance of making it to the President's desk, you should be very, very concerned about not letting the Republicans take over the Senate in November.

If you don't want the Republicans to be rewarded for their politics of obstructionism, you should be very, very concerned about not letting them take over the Senate in November.

The good news is that you don't just have to be concerned. You can do something about it:

Thanks,

Joe

P.S. -- If you chip in before midnight, you'll be automatically entered to meet Barack in San Francisco next week -- and get free airfare and hotel for you and a guest.

Diane, I'm asking you to help

Diane --

When I first took office, a bunch of people (some of them pretty cynical) said that we'd never be able to pass comprehensive health reform -- but we proved them wrong.

In 2012, they said that we'd lose the election, and Republicans would repeal the law -- but we proved them wrong.

Last year, they said nobody would sign up for coverage through the exchanges -- but we proved them wrong and helped 8 million Americans access new, affordable health insurance.

Now they think Republicans can win elections in November by offering only one idea: Repeal Obamacare.

You can help prove them wrong again.

Before the fundraising deadline at midnight tonight, chip in $3 or whatever you can to help Democrats defend Obamacare:

Thanks,

Barack Obama

P.S. -- I'm going to be in San Francisco next week, and, if you chip in before midnight, you'll be automatically entered to meet me there -- airfare and hotel for you and a guest are on us.

Hi

Democrats
This November, we will elect the last Congress to serve alongside President Obama, and I'm determined to do everything I can to make sure it isn't full of people who try to fight him every step of the way.
Diane --

Donate now.
This November, we will elect the last Congress to serve alongside President Obama, and I'm determined to do everything I can to make sure it isn't full of people who try to fight him every step of the way.

Chip in $3 or more to help Democrats take back the House and hold the Senate this November.

Democrats have the tools, the policies, the strategy, and -- with your support -- the people to make sure we can win this fall.

Meanwhile, Republicans have become less popular than ever, which I didn't even think was possible. When it comes to issues like health care, boosting our economy, or advancing equal rights for all, the GOP is consistently on the wrong side for the majority of Americans.

With your support, we'll translate that into wins this fall. Donate today to build this movement:

Put your name in the permanent record, Diane

Diane --

One of the perks of spending decades in this business is that I've had a front row seat for some of the biggest fights of our time.

At the top of that list is health care reform.

I remember well the efforts of Senator Ted Kennedy. I watched as countless other leaders -- many of them presidents -- tried to get it done. And I remember back in 2007, hearing then-Senator Barack Obama talk about why this cause was so personal for him.

I was in the room, only a few yards away, when President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law. It's still one of the proudest moments of my life. That kind of lasting change that would help millions of people is why I got into this line of work in the first place.

It took generations of organizers to get the job done. But because we all fought for it, millions of Americans are better off right now.

I'm so happy to know my name will be a part of OFA's permanent record of people who helped make health care reform a reality -- will you add your name today, alongside mine?

I still remember hearing from a lot of people back in 2009 and 2010 that health care reform would never happen. They'd seen the generations before come up short.

We got the job done because there was a long line of progressive organizers who worked hard to lay the groundwork. And because people like you never gave up.

There's no better evidence of that than the way that so many of you helped spread the word about getting covered over the last six months, in spite of a well-funded opposition that wanted nothing more than to scare people out of getting health insurance.

More than 8 million people signed up for health care through the marketplace, because of what you did. That's incredible.

Just as I look back at the people who came before us, I hope future generations will look back on what we accomplished and remember what exactly is possible when people come together to fight for what they believe in.

That's something you should be part of -- join me and add your name to the permanent record of folks who made health care reform a reality:

http://my.barackobama.com/You-Made-History

Thank you so much for everything you did to get us here,

David

David Axelrod

P.S. -- All of these names will be showcased in a brand-new installation at OFA's national headquarters in Chicago. It's going to be pretty special -- make sure your name's on it today.

Make sure your name is on the record, Diane

Diane --

It took decades, and generations of organizers, fighting for it.

I'm proud to be the president who signed health care reform into law.

And I'm grateful to have had people like you working alongside me -- it's because of you that millions have health insurance today, some for the first time in their lives. No American should have to lose their coverage or go bankrupt just because they get sick.

That's peace of mind, and it's why so many of us fought for reform in the first place.

OFA is putting together a permanent record of the people who got the job done, a way to make sure the work you did is remembered for years to come.

You belong in the record books -- make sure your name appears on OFA's permanent record of the folks who helped make health care reform happen.

The numbers put it all in perspective.

More than 8 million Americans signed up for health insurance through the marketplace. Another 3 million young adults under 26 were able to stay on their parents' plans, millions more are now covered thanks to Medicaid expansion in the Affordable Care Act, and anyone who already had health insurance now has fundamental protections and benefits they can rely on.

That happened because people like you, Diane, got the word out. Whether you shared a note on Facebook and Twitter or helped out at an event in your community, it all made a difference.

This is your chance to make sure none of that work goes unnoticed.

Add your name, alongside mine, to OFA's permanent record of the folks who fought for health care reform:

http://my.barackobama.com/You-Made-History

I can't thank you enough,

Barack Obama

Women deserve equal pay for equal work

Organizing for Action
Diane --

Yesterday, the Senate voted on the Paycheck Fairness Act, a bill that would help close the pay gap between women and men.

The Senate voted along party lines and the bill failed to reach the 60 votes needed for passage. It appears that some members don't think addressing this issue is necessary. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell even referred to it as a "bizarre obsession."

On average, women in America currently make just 77 cents for every dollar that men earn -- if you think that's a real problem, you need to do something about it today.

We're asking Congress to take the gender pay gap seriously -- add your name to support equal pay for equal work.

The Paycheck Fairness Act would make it easier for women to take action if they aren't being paid fairly, strengthen equal pay laws, and help make pay discrimination a thing of the past.

But this isn't just a women's issue -- this affects families across the country. Women are breadwinners in 40 percent of households with children in America.

President Obama has taken steps to reduce pay discrimination against women. In fact, just this week, he issued two executive orders to ban federal contractors from punishing employees for discussing their salaries, and require these contractors to submit data on compensation paid to their employees, including gender and race.

The President has done his part, but too many members of Congress have failed to take this issue seriously.

If that makes you mad, that's because it should -- do something about it. Add your name to stand with women for equal pay:

Add your name to the permanent record:

Organizing for Action
Diane --

It took 100 years.

Presidents from Teddy Roosevelt to Harry Truman, from Richard Nixon to Bill Clinton all fought to reform our health care system.

Under President Obama, we got it done. That's thanks to the millions of Americans who fought for it, some over the course of decades.

We're creating a permanent record of every single person who helped make health care reform happen -- today, make sure your name is on it.

Last week, we found out that more than 7 million Americans signed up for insurance through the marketplace. Millions more have coverage through Medicaid expansion, and more than 3 million young adults are covered because they can stay on their parents' plans.

That's millions of people who won't have to lose sleep wondering if an unexpected accident will leave them bankrupt. That's millions of folks who can go see a doctor and get a much needed checkup without worrying about how much it'll set them back.

For decades, affordable health care was out of reach for millions in this country. Not anymore.

That's why we all fought for reform in the first place.

Health care reform is going to live in the history books forever -- it's definitely something I'll be sharing with my grandkids.

Add your name to the record of the people who got it done:

Your name belongs in the permanent record

Organizing for Action
Diane --

We've all worked hard to make health care reform a success -- many have fought for decades.

It's something I'll tell my grandkids about.

OFA is putting together the permanent record of the people who made health care reform happen -- everyone from Teddy Roosevelt to Barack Obama and, yes, even Richard Nixon.

Your name belongs on this list -- add it right now.

It will be permanently installed at OFA headquarters in Chicago to be a constant reminder that lasting change is possible when we come together and organize.

Think about how long Americans have fought for this. In 1912, Teddy Roosevelt was the first president to advocate for health care for all Americans. When we passed the Affordable Care Act, more than 45 million Americans were uninsured.

Now, millions of young adults can stay on their parents' plan until 26, millions more are covered through the expansion of Medicaid, and as we heard this week, more than 7 million Americans signed up for private coverage through the marketplace. And, year after year, it's only going to get better.

That's why we fought for this law.

It was a long road to get here. We want to take a minute to recognize everyone who helped make history. That includes you, Diane.

Add your name to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the people who made health care reform happen:

http://my.barackobama.com/You-Made-History
