The alarm bells are ringing, and we cannot ignore the threats to abortion and voting rights looming over our democracy. In states like Virginia, the specters of "Stop the Steal" and election denial still cast a long shadow.

If we don't act now, the consequences could be dire. Take action to boost our efforts to protect fairness in states like Virginia and nationwide. ➡️

First, on November 8, 2020, in Purcellville, Virginia, extreme lawmakers sounded an ominous alarm, seeking to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power -- the very cornerstone of our democratic process.

The events that unfolded were just the beginning of an unprecedented assault on our democracy, culminating in the horrifying attack on our Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Now, these same forces are attempting to dismantle our democratic system, seeking to impose their extremism at the ballot box.

This is our call to action. Help amplify our efforts to ensure fairness, equity, and justice prevail in our elections in states like Virginia and nationwide.

We must continue to rise above partisan lines, uniting against any forces attempting to manipulate power for the few.

We must honor those words and come together, resolute in our commitment to a democracy that truly represents every voice.

We can forge a path towards fairness and justice in our democracy, free from the influence of extremists and bad actors. But we can't without your support.

FiveThirtyEight: More than a half-dozen states face the prospect of having to go through the redistricting process again . . . Both Democrats and Republicans have the opportunity to flip seats.

Diane, there are redistricting fights happening across the country right now – and the outcomes will shape the playing field for the battle for the House of Representatives in 2024.

Before the last election, our work helped secure what the New York Times called "the fairest House map of the last 40 years." Now, depending on what we do over the next few months, one of two things will happen before the next election:

OPTION #1:
If we let the GOP get away with unchecked gerrymandering, then Republicans could run up the score in the House before a single ballot is even cast in 2024.

OR

OPTION #2:
If we continue fighting for fair redistricting, then we can secure an even fairer map ahead of a highly consequential election!
