I need to be sure you saw President Obama's note:

No one candidate can win on their own -- which is why supporting the Democratic Unity Fund ahead of tonight's midnight deadline has never been more vital for the future of our party.

DemocratsJoin us.

President Barack Obama emailed you before last week's debate asking you to make a contribution to the Democratic Unity Fund. Did you read it?

In his message to you, he reminded us that our unity is our greatest strength. That we are stronger as one team than we are fighting alone. No one candidate can win on their own -- which is why supporting the Democratic Unity Fund ahead of tonight's midnight deadline has never been more vital for the future of our party.

Please read Obama's important ask of you, and then make a $7 investment in the Democratic Unity Fund before midnight. We wouldn't be coming to you if it weren't absolutely vital to our future nominee and victory nationwide in 2020.

Yours,

Tom

Hey --

I'm writing to ask you to make an investment in the DNC's Democratic Unity Fund before our Democratic presidential primary candidates take the stage tonight. Before I do that, I want to explain why I launched this initiative alongside the DNC, and why supporting it with a contribution before tonight's debate is so important for 2020.

I helped launch the Democratic Unity Fund because, no matter what happens on that stage tonight or even who ultimately becomes our party's nominee, we can't win the White House and seats down the ballot without a strong, unified Democratic Party. The DNC is ground zero for supporting Democratic campaigns, state parties, and our future nominee for president -- and there is no other party committee responsible for supporting Democrats in every state, at every level.

I know how tough it is to win a presidential election. I've done it twice. That's why I can tell you with certainty that your support for our party early on will make an extraordinary difference in Democrats' ability to compete and win next year. That is why I'm asking you to do something very important today:

Will you make a $7 contribution to the DNC's Democratic Unity Fund before the Democratic presidential primary candidates take the stage in Atlanta tonight? Any amount you can afford to invest -- big or small -- will bring us closer to winning the White House and seats in all 50 states.

I am asking you to join me in fighting for whoever wins our party's nomination as hard as you possibly can. The stakes in this race have never been higher, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that the future of our nation is on the line in just a few short months.

I know what this grassroots team can accomplish when we roll up our sleeves and organize for change. I've seen it firsthand. And I am fired up to continue this fight with you. Winning the Oval Office and seats in every corner of our country next year simply can't happen without you on board, which is why I need you to join me in supporting the Democratic Unity Fund.

Contribute $7, or whatever you can, to the Democratic Unity Fund. By joining me in supporting the fund today, you'll play an integral role in our party's ability to hand a strong, well-prepared DNC over to our eventual nominee and candidates nationwide the moment the general election begins.

Thank you for being by my side in this fight,

Barack Obama

Diane,

This email from Barack Obama makes a really strong point about All On The Line's grassroots approach. When we succeed in our target states, we not only have a shot at fair maps -- we also have a chance to overcome the obstruction that's preventing progress.

That's why All On The Line needs to build our grassroots ground game in key states now. With a strong grassroots effort, I truly believe fair maps are possible.

Take a moment to read this email from President Obama below. And if you're inspired to invest in our ground game, you can donate to All On The Line here: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/nov2019-endofmonth

Subject: The fight for fair maps

Friend,

For years, Virginians were forced to vote in districts that were racially gerrymandered -- diminishing the voices of thousands of African Americans. But the courts ordered those unfair districts to be redrawn ahead of this month's elections, which meant that, for the first time in a decade, the election's outcome wasn't predetermined by politicians who drew the lines. Instead, the results were decided the way they should be -- by the voters on Election Day.

Virginia is a great success story, but there's more work to do -- and our path to fairness in each state will vary greatly. That's why All On The Line has set its sights on ten target states where the battle for fair maps is already underway. Each will require a unique plan and unique resources.

Can I count on you to help All On The Line put its state plans into action and reach its end-of-month goal of $100,000?

We need your help to build the infrastructure we need to win this fight -- because the maps drawn in 2021 depend on the ground game we build now. It's going to take a dedicated grassroots effort and localized approach to carry forward the successes in Virginia to even more states.

We know this state-level approach works. This month, as congressional maps were being redrawn in North Carolina, our supporters there came together to call for fair maps. And in Texas, folks are headed to public hearings across the state to make their voices heard on what a fair map looks like for their community.

When All On The Line succeeds in its target states, we'll not only have a shot at fair maps -- we'll also have a chance to break through the obstruction that's preventing progress on so many issues we care about. From attacks on women's health and reproductive freedom in Georgia, to the lack of action on gun violence in Ohio, to the refusal to expand Medicaid to hundreds of thousands of residents in Florida, we've seen time and time again how progress is stalled or reversed by state legislatures that don't reflect the will of the people because of gerrymandered maps. We have a chance to change this in 2021.

All On The Line's grassroots efforts are crucial to ending gerrymandering and securing a path for progress in the next decade. Investing in this movement at the state level is our best chance at achieving fair maps. That's why you'll be hearing from the All On The Line State Directors in the weeks ahead. These experts on the ground will share what's at stake and how we can win this fight in their state -- and most importantly, how you can make that critical difference.

Diane -- We set an ambitious end-of-month goal. As one of our key grassroots supporters I wanted to give you a quick update on our progress.

Here's where we stand: $45,825 -- only 46% to our goal.

As President Obama said, this fight for fair maps is going to take a dedicated grassroots effort and a localized approach. We set this goal to help fund our work in states across the country -- we have a plan, we just need grassroots support to put it into motion.

Your support fuels this movement. Make a donation to take us over the finish line.
