"It's going to take a dedicated grassroots effort and localized approach to carry forward the successes in Virginia to even more states," said President Obama.
The maps drawn in 2021 depend on the ground game we build now. We need your help to invest in the infrastructure we need to win this fight.

We're already facing obstacles to fair maps in states like North Carolina, Michigan and New Hampshire. In fact, legislators in North Carolina not only replaced a gerrymandered map with another gerrymandered map -- State Senator Jerry Tillman also stood on the floor of the General Assembly and claimed the maps "belong" to his party.
This rhetoric exposes how map manipulators justify putting political interests ahead of their constituents. And this fight will only get harder as more and more states begin the redistricting process.
