The other day, Pres. Obama said that "with focus, persistence, and, yes, a little bit of hope…" | | | Diane, we'll be blunt. Time is running out for us to achieve fair maps. You have two choices:
Choice 1:
You do nothing. Republican state legislators, however, are very active. As they've already done in Ohio, Texas, and Georgia, they continue to push for gerrymandered maps in state after state. We won't have the resources to stop them and they'll be able to get the rigged maps signed into law. On the federal level, Republican senators continue to obstruct legislation that would prevent partisan gerrymandering of congressional districts. As a result, Republicans flip the House of Representatives in 2022, setting up a crisis of democracy in the 2024 election.
Choice 2:
You fight. You chip in. Thanks to you and like-minded folks, the NDRC will have the resources to fight GOP gerrymandering across the country. We may not be able to win everywhere, but it's enough to rescue American democracy.
