I believe in our power as agents for change in the fight for fair maps.

Diane -- When I think about the way change has happened throughout this country's history, one thing is clear: There's nothing stronger than the power of millions of voices calling for change. That's why I believe that All On The Line can be decisive in the fight for fair maps.

Right now, we are close to a big grassroots milestone. Since we launched All On The Line earlier this year, 45,538 donations have helped to fuel the fight for fair maps. Can you help us reach 50,000 donations before the end of the month?

Twelve years ago, I stood on the steps of the Old State Capitol in Springfield, Illinois, and reminded folks that the genius of our nation's founders lies in designing a system of government that can be changed. And one of the most fundamental changes is written right into the Constitution: redistricting.

Every ten years, we have the chance to make sure our government actually reflects the people it represents. And with some politicians doing whatever they can to manipulate the redistricting process for political gain, it's up to us to lead the charge for an end to partisan gerrymandering.

Our grassroots movement has never backed down from a fight, whether it was achieving and defending quality affordable healthcare, working to pass Wall Street reform, or rallying to advance the causes of gun violence prevention, environmental protection, or criminal justice reform. We haven't won every fight -- yet -- but we're undeterred. And it didn't help that our progress was sometimes stalled by politicians from gerrymandered districts who blocked needed change.

That's why investing in the fight for fair maps couldn't be more important. The lines drawn during the 2021 redistricting cycle will help determine the next decade of progress at the state and national levels. That's not just good for policy; it'll help improve our politics.

I've always believed that we're stronger when we stand together -- and the fact that we're within reach of 50,000 grassroots donations is a testament to this movement's strength.

But All On The Line has a long road ahead. We know gerrymandering is standing in the way of making progress on the issues we care about. We've identified the problem -- and we have the plan and the grassroots organizing power to address it. But we need your help.

I hope I can count on you to be part of the movement that ends gerrymandering and puts power back where it belongs -- in the hands of the American people.
