You know the story, Diane: In 2010, Republicans swept down-ballot races, which gave them control over the redistricting process in 2011. The result was gerrymandering on an unprecedented scale, leading to years of obstruction and backward progress. The NDRC was formed to counter that trend and win back state legislative seats so the same thing doesn't happen in 2021.
And not to brag, but so far we've done a bang-up job thanks to supporters like you. The Nation reports that "Democrats have won back over 450 seats and 10 state chambers in the Trump era."
But now comes the hard part. The seats we're targeting in 2020 are the more challenging ones, and we're being outraised by the GOP in states like Florida and Texas. So whether we can close the gap and secure fair redistricting depends on support from folks like you.
