In 2017, Attorney General Eric Holder, with support from President Barack Obama, established the National Democratic Redistricting Committee as a centralized hub to fight for fair maps.

THEN:
Ahead of the 2022 elections, our movement's efforts to secure fair redistricting reforms, elect fair maps leaders, and mobilize communities helped secure what the New York Times called "the fairest house map of the last 40 years."

NOW:
According to FiveThirtyEight, more than half a dozen states could draw new congressional maps before the 2024 election – with more than enough districts impacted to flip control of the House!
