The outcome of this vote will have a massive impact not just on representation for the people of the Commonwealth, but for all Americans — it’ll go a long way to determine whether the midterms will be fought on a level playing field.  Republicans know that a YES vote on the referendum is a vote to protect democracy, and is a threat to their hold on power.  So for weeks, they've been using egregious scare tactics — like distributing flyers with KKK imagery and references to Jim Crow to frighten and confuse voters into voting against the ballot measure.
