Virginians — today is the day! Tell everyone you know:

Diane, we'll cut to the chase: Polls in Virginia close tonight at 7 p.m. That means the clock is ticking on the redistricting ballot measure that would help protect our democracy and level the playing field in the wake of the Republican redistricting crisis.

Together, we can ensure that Trump and his MAGA allies cannot rig maps in state after state to cling to power.

It’s not too late to help make a difference. Share this voter information link with friends and neighbors in Virginia — and tell them to get their vote in before polls close at 7:00 p.m.

More soon,

The NDRC Team

Diane,

Tomorrow is Election Day in Virginia — and it’s a huge moment for the fair maps movement.

In direct response to the redistricting crisis started by the White House and their Republican allies in states like Texas, Missouri, and North Carolina, Virginians are deciding whether or not to implement a new map that temporarily increases the number of competitive districts across the state.

The outcome of this vote will have a massive impact not just on representation for the people of the Commonwealth, but for all Americans — it’ll go a long way to determine whether the midterms will be fought on a level playing field.

Republicans know that a YES vote on the referendum is a vote to protect democracy, and is a threat to their hold on power.

So for weeks, they've been using egregious scare tactics — like distributing flyers with KKK imagery and references to Jim Crow to frighten and confuse voters into voting against the ballot measure.

They’ve also been spreading outright lies, sending mailers claiming President Obama is opposed to the referendum. In fact, President Obama endorses voting YES to stop the Republican power grab and protect the voting power of the American people ahead of the midterms.

Don’t let the Trump team’s desperately dirty tricks go unanswered in the home stretch — take a minute to remind folks you know in Virginia to get out and vote YES. Here’s a link you can share where everyone can find their voting information.

Thanks for your support,

KT Coleman
