Barack Obama agrees: You should donate to the Democratic Unity Fund ahead of Sunday's end-of-quarter deadline →

An investment in the Democratic Unity Fund -- no matter how big or small -- is an investment in the success of our eventual presidential nominee and our fight against Trump and Republicans.

DemocratsJoin us.
I am asking you to make your first contribution to the DNC's Democratic Unity Fund ahead of this Sunday's pivotal end-of-quarter deadline. Before you settle in to watch the first Democratic primary debate tonight, I hope you'll let me share exactly why your support matters so much before this deadline and what your donation to the Democratic Unity Fund will help make possible for Democrats in 2020:

Just last month, President Obama unveiled the Democratic Unity Fund, a revolutionary effort by the DNC, Democratic presidential candidates, and supporters to unite around our common goal of electing Democrats at every level, from the state house to the White House. The Democratic Unity Fund is already beginning to power critical investments in the strong DNC infrastructure we'll need to win in 2020. But it won't be in place unless we consistently reach important fundraising goals like the one we've set for this quarter.

This quarter's fundraising goal is ambitious, but it's the benchmark our party must meet in order to fund crucial 2020 programs, organize early in battleground states, and build the strong voter protection infrastructure we'll need to fight for every vote. If my math is right, our party needs 72 Democrats from Montross to contribute in order to reach Sunday's goal. That's why I've got to ask:

Will you donate $3 to the Democratic Unity Fund before Sunday at midnight to help elect our eventual Democratic nominee for president and candidates across the country? Your support before this end-of-quarter deadline couldn't be more important.

An investment in the Democratic Unity Fund -- no matter how big or small -- is an investment in the success of our eventual presidential nominee and our fight against Trump and Republicans. By donating to the fund before Sunday, you'll play a key role in funding vital 2020 programs like these:

THE DNC WAR ROOM

The DNC War Room is a battleground states-focused research and rapid response unit made up of dozens of research, communications, and mobilization experts entirely dedicated to kicking Trump out of the Oval Office in 2020. The War Room is a hub for state parties, candidates, and activists that lifts up the stories of the real people most devastated by Trump's disgraceful policies. By holding Trump accountable, we'll be able to help keep his poll numbers low and make sure he stays a one-term president.

BEST PRACTICES INSTITUTE

One of the four pillars of my candidacy for DNC chair was to build the DNC's first-ever Best Practices Institute, a centralized training hub for Democrats at every level. From first-time activists to industry leaders, the Best Practices Institute runs comprehensive trainings designed to help build successful campaigns and win key races nationwide. In 2018 alone, the BPI held over 90 in-person and webinar trainings. Our Best Practices Institute is strengthening the Democratic Party infrastructure to ensure success in 2019, 2020, and for years to come.

DATA AND TECH IMPROVEMENTS

Improving Democratic tech and data has been one of the DNC's top priorities since 2017, which is why our party has brought in top tech talent, invested heavily in cybersecurity, and begun rebuilding our data infrastructure to give all our candidates best-in-class tools. The Data Warehouse is the centerpiece of the Democratic Party's massive effort to overhaul what was once a crumbling data infrastructure. The Warehouse is improving access to voter data and unifying our efforts across the entire progressive ecosystem, putting our candidates in the best position possible to target voters and win elections up and down the ballot.

Thank you for taking the time to hear more about what your contribution will help fund. As you watch the first debate tonight and tomorrow, know that your investment in a strong DNC will help elect one of our incredible Democratic candidates in the fight against Trump and will have a tremendous impact on the outcome of the general election. Our party will be as strong as the support we receive from generous Democrats like you, so I'm urging you to be one of the 72 Democrats from Montross we need to make a donation before Sunday's deadline.

Contribute $3 to the Democratic Unity Fund before Sunday's end-of-quarter deadline to help our party reach our goal so we can take back the White House and seats nationwide in 2020.

Thank you for being a part of this team. It means the world to me, our entire team at DNC Headquarters, and to the future of this country.

P.S. Over the next couple of days, you'll hear from our impressive slate of Democratic candidates. There is so much to do to prepare for 2020, and we can't afford to wait until we've chosen our nominee to shift our efforts into high gear. Donate $3 ahead of Sunday's deadline to elect Democrats nationwide.
