The biggest bang for your buck

The path to 270 electoral votes is narrow. Because Trump is an incumbent, he already has a leg up. But we can't -- and we won't -- let him win.

Donald Trump is essentially running unopposed right now. Since he officially kicked off his 2020 reelection last week, he's raised over $30 million -- that's in addition to the more than $150 million he and the RNC have already racked up since he started running on day one of his presidency. While our strong slate of Democratic candidates is working hard on the campaign trail, Donald Trump is prancing around the country spewing more lies and false promises. Here's what I know: Competitive primaries are expensive. Without a strong DNC in place for the general election, our chance of winning back the White House and electing Democrats up and down the ballot in 2020 is toast. We have to keep pace with Trump's campaign and the RNC now in order to make sure our eventual presidential nominee is in the best possible position heading into the general election and Democrats are in a place to take back seats across the country. They're investing in training organizers for battleground states, a world-class data and technology infrastructure, and a War Room that is constantly holding Trump and his Republican allies accountable. Whether or not the DNC is able to hit its fundraising goal on Sunday will determine if those programs are fully funded or not. I am counting on you.
