Yesterday marked three years since Donald Trump's inauguration. I know -- with the constant attacks on our rights and values, it's felt more like three decades.

But as tough as it's been, I don't want you to forget how much this community has achieved in that time. In 2017 we launched the NDRC with the support of President Obama. And that's not a bad thing -- unless it means they focus less on the key to ensuring progress and stopping regress over the next decade, which is winning on the state and local level. In 2010, Democrats tuned out of down-ballot races. That allowed Republicans to sweep statehouses and governor's offices and subsequently manipulate the maps for a decade. We cannot, I repeat, CANNOT, let that happen again. So much is at stake in 2020 -- including races in nine target states that between them have a whopping 142 U.S. House seats.
