I was shocked when President Trump said he was still set on repealing the Affordable Care Act.

I've seen more than a few Republican attempts to attack the progress that President Obama and I won together. But I'll admit I was astounded when President Trump said he was still set on repealing the Affordable Care Act in a moment as dire as this one. In the midst of a global pandemic, he's still willing to put millions of Americans at risk by ripping away their access to health care -- and all for partisan politics. As a piece of legislation that President Obama and I worked hard on together, the ACA is close to my heart. But this is about more than our legacy. By making lousy attempts like this to push his agenda, Donald Trump is actively putting American lives in harm's way.
