The New York Times exposed the GOP's $20 million plot to intimidate voters ahead of the election this November, AOTL knew we needed to invest heavily in election reform efforts. We need strong grassroots support if we're going to stop map manipulators who are dedicated to suppressing the vote. This is why we've set a six-hour goal of raising $10,000 by midnight tonight.
We want to make our message clear: we cannot stand idly by while bad actors try to suppress the vote. In fact, nearly 30,000 AOTL supporters have contacted their members of Congress in the past few weeks to demand action on common-sense election reforms.
When President Obama reached out last week, he said that voter suppression cannot go unchallenged. It will be an uphill battle to ensure safe, fair, and accessible elections -- but we believe in the power of a strong grassroots movement. Can we count on you to pitch in before midnight?
