Last November, our grassroots movement helped defeat election deniers in states like Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and more. But the truth is that while we prevented these dangerous politicians from gaining power, they haven't gone away.

People like Kari Lake are still trying to overturn the 2022 election results in Arizona – and she has even gone so far as suggesting violence:

"Kari Lake … is still anointing herself 'the real governor' and saying that election officials who certified her defeat are 'crooks' who 'need to be locked up.' …

"To uproarious applause, she went on to invoke the Second Amendment and the bloody American Revolution against a tyrant. 'I think we're right there right now, aren't we?' she said."

It's not just in Arizona. In several states, right-wing activists are spending millions to elect judges who they believe could help overturn the presidential election results in 2024. And in states like Ohio and Texas, Republican lawmakers who promote the Big Lie are working to pass even more onerous restrictions on voting.

But here's the good news, Diane: The situation is far from hopeless. Our movement has made significant progress in the fight to defend democracy. As President Obama said recently, "[The NDRC has] been fighting to give people everywhere a fair shot. Our democracy is stronger today because of their hard work."

With vote suppressors, map manipulators, and election deniers continuing their attempts to seize unearned power, we must continue this work. Together, we have the chance to hold MAGA Republicans accountable, help elect leaders who will fight for fairness, combat attacks on our election infrastructure, and so much more.

Diane, redistricting is no longer a once-a-decade event.

I am proud to be a part of All On The Line's grassroots movement for fair maps, and I'm grateful to my friend Eric Holder for leading this movement. For the past four years, we have done the hard work together -- advocating for fair maps and fighting to protect voting rights.

Our democracy is stronger because of what we have accomplished. States that were once gerrymandered -- Michigan and Pennsylvania -- are now highly competitive, allowing voters to choose their representatives instead of the other way around.

ICYMI: Exciting news for the NDRC
