Falling short of midnight's goal isn't an option

The fact that Donald Trump's re-election has already raised $100 million should scare us.

DemocratsJoin us.
Donald Trump's campaign has already raked in more than 25 times what President Obama raised and more than 30 times what President Bush raised by this point in their re-election bids. When I say we can't afford to come up short this deadline, I truly mean it.

Tonight is the final deadline of the year, so we set an ambitious fundraising goal to help close the gap on Trump. Before midnight, we need 20 more supporters from Montross to step up and help hit our goal. So I'm asking you directly:

Will you make a $3 donation before midnight tonight to help reach this goal and defeat Donald Trump and the GOP in 2020?

The fact that Donald Trump's re-election has already raised $100 million should scare us. Part of the reason he won in 2016 is the organizing infrastructure put in place by the Republican Party from the beginning. With the amount of money Trump has raised this early in the game, you better bet he's going to have an even stronger ground game in 2020.

We cannot afford to put our democracy and American families through the ringer with four more years under Donald Trump. Trump's government shutdown is proof: We must start building the infrastructure to elect Democrats in 2019 and defeat him and the GOP in 2020.

With only a few hours left until our midnight deadline, we need 20 more supporters from Montross to donate.

Will you donate $3 before tonight's deadline to help elect Democrats in 2019 and take down Trump and the GOP in 2020?

Thanks for all you do,

Joe

I'm asking you to step up before tonight's final deadline of 2018:

We must start working together right now to build a party that will continue winning seats up and down the ballot and take back the White House in 2020.

DemocratsJoin us.
Friend --

In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a donation to the Democratic Party before the final fundraising deadline of 2018. I hope you give me a chance to explain why this request is so critical.

When I took over the DNC in 2009, it was right after Barack Obama was elected president. We had successfully defended our Democratic majorities in both the House and the Senate and won back the White House after eight years of the George W. Bush administration. So I know firsthand just how important it is to have a strong Democratic Party capable of restoring integrity back to our country.

This election cycle, thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, we all saw firsthand what Democrats can achieve. I hope that's been as energizing for you as it's been for me. Even though Election Day is behind us, I'm more energized than ever. I'm humbled to have been re-elected to the Senate for another term and can't wait to continue working hard on behalf of Virginians. I also remain incredibly proud of all we did to flip seats across the country, including three House seats in our home Commonwealth, and look forward to welcoming my new colleagues to the halls of the Capitol. But we're still just getting started!

Right now it's up to all of us to start working together to build a party that will continue opening the doors of opportunity for families across the country. That begins and ends with Democrats winning seats up and down the ballot, and taking back the White House and the Senate in 2020.

We've got a long road ahead us before we get there, though, to maintain and bolster the foundation we laid this cycle, which is why a contribution made right now -- before tonight's end-of-year fundraising deadline -- will have a much greater impact than one you might make right before the election.

There has never been a more important time to invest in our party. Can I count on you to step up and make a $3 contribution before tonight's end-of-year deadline?

The DNC is the only official party organization that will be equipped to fully support whoever becomes our nominee in 2020. That means now is the time to build the long-lasting infrastructure to ensure our Democratic nominee has the resources they need to hit the ground running.

Here's what the DNC will be doing to lay the groundwork for 2019, 2020, and beyond:
  • Working to hold Donald Trump accountable and communicating our strong Democratic agenda to communities across the country.
  • Equipping a diverse field of candidates with the emerging data, technology, and digital tools that they will need to take their message to voters.
  • Strengthening our state parties in every state -- not just battleground states -- in order to expand the electorate and compete everywhere.
  • Investing in crucial voter protection efforts nationwide so every eligible voter can participate in our elections.
I believe we can accomplish all of those things and more, but the DNC cannot do it alone. It's going to take grassroots supporters like you with ownership of our party's success to get the work done. Which is why I am asking you directly:

Will you make a $3 donation before tonight's deadline? Any amount you give will go directly into building a party that is capable of sending a Democrat to the White House in 2020.

Thank you,

Tim Kaine

P.S. If we stand any chance at taking back the White House and winning critical races up and down the ballot, it will require early investments from grassroots supporters like you to build a strong Democratic Party. Donate $3 before tonight's end-of-year deadline to ensure our Democratic candidates have the resources to win in the 2020 cycle.

Donald Trump's re-election campaign is scary

I am asking you to make a contribution before Monday's deadline to help Democrats close the gap on Trump's unprecedented re-election machine. Let me share why your support is so important:

DemocratsJoin us.
I am asking you to make a $3 contribution before Monday's deadline to help Democrats close the gap on Trump's unprecedented re-election machine. Let me share why your support is so important at this moment:

After already raising more than $100 million, Donald Trump and the RNC are planning to merge their fundraising and organizing efforts early -- and they are calling this massive operation "Trump Victory."

We can't let Trump build out any further advantage than he already has. Whoever the Democratic nominee is will face a massive fundraising and organizing disadvantage in the general election -- and donating to the DNC is the best way to make up the difference. That's why I'm asking:

This is the last time I'm reaching out this year. Can I count on you to rush an urgent donation of $3 before Monday's deadline to help the DNC close the gap on Trump and the GOP?

I chaired the DNC during the 2006 midterm election and successfully transitioned the organization to support Barack Obama in 2008. I can tell you for a fact that presidential elections start the day after midterm elections are over. Trump already has a massive fundraising operation -- he's already raised more than $100 million. If we don't build up our party right now to take on Trump, who will?

Your support today will not only help us close the gap on Trump, but it will set our Democratic candidates up for success in 2020. That's important because our democracy, our values, and everything we believe in as Democrats hang in the balance. By making a $3 contribution before the end-of-year deadline, you can say you were on the front lines early, when it mattered most.

Thanks for being part of this,

Howard

Former DNC Chair

Will 39 supporters from Montross step up before Monday?

Monday is our last deadline of the year. If 39 supporters from Montross step up before then, we'll hit our goal.

DemocratsJoin us.
Monday is the final fundraising deadline of this year. If 39 supporters from Montross rush a donation to hit our end-of-year goal before then, we'll help Democrats prepare for 2019 and 2020. Let me explain why:

We must defeat Donald Trump and the GOP in 2020 -- and their recklessness in this week's government shutdown is just another reminder of that. Trump's campaign has already raised more than $100 million -- that's more than 25 times what President Obama raised and more than 30 times what President Bush raised two years into their presidencies. If we wait until 2020 to catch up to the Trump machine, it will be too late. So I'm asking:

We're counting on grassroots supporters like you to build the infrastructure to defeat Trump and the GOP. Will you make your first $3 contribution right now before Monday's end-of-year deadline?

I'm proud of how far we've come this year -- but you and I both know our work isn't done. If we don't have a strong Democratic Party heading into 2020, Donald Trump could be our president for another four years. We simply cannot allow that to happen.

Be one of 39 supporters from Montross to make a $3 donation before the final deadline of the year.

Thanks for standing with Democrats before Monday's deadline.

Making Trump a one-term president starts now

Basically every organization Trump has ever run is under investigation right now:

DemocratsJoin us.
Trump's corruption has hit an all-time high. This headline spells it out:

Under investigation for corruption: Trump's campaign, Trump's transition team, Trump's inaugural committee, Trump's foundation, Trump Organization, Trump's administrationPhoto credit: CNN

We can't let ourselves normalize the chaos and corruption emanating from the Trump White House -- especially on the brink of him forcing a government shutdown. The only way we can uphold the integrity of our democracy is by replacing Trump with a Democratic president in 2020.

In order to do that, the DNC has to start investing in the tools required for a Democratic victory right now -- waiting until 2020 will be too late. That's why I'm asking:

Will you make a $3 donation to the DNC today to help put an end to Trump's corrupt presidency by electing a Democrat to the Oval Office in 2020?

The degree to which we're able to invest in the organizing, technology, and party infrastructure we'll need to beat Trump and finally end this erratic, dangerous presidency will depend on how much grassroots support the Democratic Party receives before the end of this year.

Trump has been campaigning for 2020 since the day he took office and he's got a tremendous head start on any Democratic challenger he will face. His campaign has already raised more than 25 times what Obama had raised for his re-election race at this point, and we can't let Trump build any more of an advantage than he already has.

Our Democratic presidential nominee will begin the general election with a massive fundraising disadvantage against Trump, and donating directly to the DNC is the best way to help make up that difference.

The only way we'll have a shot at electing a Democratic president in 2020 is by starting now. Will you make a $3 contribution to the DNC to elect a Democratic president and put an end to Trump's reckless, corrupt presidency?

Thank you for defending our country,

Tom

What's next

I want to tell you some exciting news about the future of OFA.
Organizing for Action
Diane --

You've been a part of this movement for a long time, so I wanted to tell you this exciting news myself:

Next year, OFA is fully combining forces with the redistricting effort of my former attorney general, Eric Holder. We're going all-in on the fight against gerrymandering -- because for all the hard-fought progress we've achieved together, the lack of truly representative government has too often stood in the way of change.

Now, that structural gridlock has been frustrating, no doubt. But if we capitalize on the opportunity to reverse these undemocratic and unrepresentative maps, the bounds of what is possible will fundamentally change.

With maps that deliver on the promise of equal representation, our political leaders will be forced to actually prioritize the will and well-being of the American people on the most pressing issues of our time. Think about how different that would look than what we've seen recently:
  • Political ideologues who've spent eight years obsessed with repealing the Affordable Care Act and undermining its overwhelmingly popular, life-saving protections for pre-existing conditions.

  • Washington politicians who've refused to acknowledge even the basic science of climate change -- let alone the ever-growing majority of Americans demanding action to address this urgent crisis -- and handed over policymaking to big oil and big polluters.

  • Elected officials in the pocket of the gun lobby who've blocked common-sense gun laws in the midst of a uniquely American epidemic. We're talking about measures supported by 70%, 80%, 90% of voters that would prevent tragedies, and they often can't even get a vote.

  • We've even seen Republican lawmakers in heavily-gerrymandered states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and North Carolina write legislation to strip power from Democratic governors immediately after voters turned out in big numbers to elect them.
This isn't how democracy is supposed to work. But we've got the chance to fix it.

Over the next few months, as we move toward this movement's exciting next chapter, you'll hear more from our friends at the redistricting effort -- people like Chairman Holder and Executive Director Kelly Ward. They'll let you know how you can plug in and be those all-important leaders in your community as we organize for this critical fight.

Diane, in my farewell address, I talked about the sacred responsibility of citizenship. I called on each of us to be "anxious, jealous guardians of our democracy; to embrace the joyous task we've been given to continually try to improve this great nation of ours."

For more than a decade, through so many iterations, that's exactly what this movement has done. And I couldn't be prouder of what OFA has accomplished. Each time I've summoned you for new challenges, you've answered the call and exceeded all expectations. You have inspired me and reaffirmed my faith in America.

So I'm turning to you again. I'm asking you to be those guardians of democracy -- to fight alongside me as fellow citizens in the hard but rewarding pursuit of a more perfect union.

I'm making redistricting a top priority, because there is no issue it doesn't touch. There is no better opportunity to bend the great arc of history toward justice. And to bend it, we've all got to push together. I hope you'll join me. We'll be in touch soon.

Thank you,

Barack Obama

ACA update (this is important)

A Texas judge ruled to undermine health care for millions of Americans by declaring the Affordable Care Act as unconstitutional. Stand with Democrats to fight back:

DemocratsJoin us.
The GOP just got one step closer to taking away health coverage from millions of Americans.

A federal judge in Texas ruled that the Affordable Care Act is unconstitutional -- and the appeal is expected to go to the Supreme Court. If this ruling stands, it would pose a direct threat to the lives and well-being of all of us who have benefited from higher quality and affordable care.

It's clear that Republicans will not let up until they've reached their goal of completely dismantling our health care system -- and right now I am counting on you to stand with Democrats to fight back.

Contribute $3 today to show you're ready to fight back against Republican attacks on health care.

For nearly a decade, the GOP has made it a top priority to undermine President Obama's landmark health care legislation. Make no mistake: Friday's ruling is the ramification of one of the most dangerous and consequential attacks Republicans have ever launched on the Affordable Care Act.

Here's what could be at risk if Friday's ruling stands:
  • As many as 133 million Americans with pre-existing conditions would no longer be protected and could be charged more to receive life-saving care.
  • 17 million Americans could lose their health care altogether.
  • Low-income individuals and families who gained coverage under the expansion of Medicaid could struggle to access the care they need.
If this most recent attack on affordable health care has shown us anything, it's that Republicans are prepared to fight this to the bitter end.

The Supreme Court already declared the Affordable Care Act constitutional back in 2012 -- and last year the American people came together to reject the GOP's attempts to repeal it. We can win the fight to protect health care for millions of Americans, but only if we're willing to give this everything we've got.

Make a $3 contribution today to stand with Democrats nationwide to defend every American's right to quality, affordable health care.

We can stop the GOP's relentless attacks on the Affordable Care Act -- starting with how we respond right now. As a DNC supporter, you've already shown you're committed to this fight. Now I hope you'll take the next step by making a contribution to elect more Democrats who will protect health care for millions of Americans.

Thank you for your support,

Tom

What a night!

YOU made this possible.
Organizing for Action
Diane --

Thank you.

Since Election Night 2016, you've worked tirelessly for this moment.

We woke up the next morning with righteous anger -- but in the words of President Obama, change takes more than that. It takes a program, and it takes organizing.

So together, we made a plan. We circled November 6, 2018, on our calendars and we set out every day to fight for progress.

Last night, thanks to you, that plan paid off. We have changed our democracy for the better because of your hard work.

You organized. You volunteered. You demanded better. You got your friends to vote. You showed up and did the work, and here's what you have accomplished:
  • We took back the House of Representatives! OFA volunteers and supporters got involved in key districts all over the country -- in places that were far from easy -- and made an impact. YOU delivered wins in so many critical races.

  • We helped pass key ballot measures in 10 states -- demanding clean energy, expanding health care to 300,000+ people, and improving lives right now.

  • We helped elect candidates and pass initiatives nationwide that will end partisan gerrymandering and ensure fair representation.

  • We got people off the sidelines -- helping our friends and family vote in record numbers, volunteer for great candidates, and do their part to make our democracy better.
It happened because of you, Diane. Thank you. You reminded this country just how powerful it can be when we fight for what we believe in.

We're inspired and grateful.

This is important:

We cannot come up short tomorrow -- so please confirm your polling place, and then make sure your friends and family do, too.

DemocratsJoin us.
Tomorrow's elections are more important than any I can remember in my lifetime, and that includes when I was on the ballot.

We need to do everything we can to get our friends, neighbors, and family to vote tomorrow -- the stakes are simply too high to sit this one out.

Tomorrow is Election Day -- confirm your polling place now and then share this link with your friends and family to get them to vote with you:

We can tip the balance of power back to you -- the American people -- but only if our folks get out and vote. This election will come down to how many voters we get out to the polls tomorrow, and you're the best person to talk to your friends and family about why it's so important for them to cast a ballot.

We cannot come up short tomorrow -- so please confirm your polling place, and then make sure your friends and family do, too.

Thank you,

Barack

There's still time to support last-minute GOTV efforts across the country. Rush a donation of $3 right now to help get out the vote:
