Quarterly update re: Obama’s announcement

The Democratic Unity Fund is a crucial resource in the fight to defeat Donald Trump and his Republican allies down the ballot -- but it's only as strong as we make it.
DemocratsJoin us.

With only three days until our first quarterly deadline of 2020 and a few months standing between us and a full-scale general election, it's critical that our party has the systems and resources in place to lift our eventual nominee -- and candidates nationwide -- to victory before it's too late.

The DNC's FEC Deadline is March 31 at midnight

The Democratic Unity Fund is entirely dedicated to making that happen -- and we need you to bolster the fund ahead of Tuesday's end-of-quarter FEC deadline, while there's still time. Read more about the Democratic Unity Fund and then donate $7 to help our party hit our vital Q1 fundraising goal and fuel the campaigns of our future nominee and Democrats nationwide.

The Democratic Unity Fund, an effort announced by President Obama back in May, addresses key concerns regarding our eventual nominee in their fight against Trump:

  1. This historic primary process has been thorough and long. Democratic candidates have spent months spreading their message of progress across the country. Our party can't afford for our future nominee to burn out once the general election starts. The Democratic Unity Fund is the key to ensuring that doesn't happen.

  2. Trump has been fundraising and campaigning tirelessly since his inauguration. He's spent millions on advertisements, staffing, and rallies before the general election has even started. The Democratic Unity Fund helps bridge this resource gap and ensures our nominee gets a head start.

  3. No matter who our nominee is, they're going to need a groundswell of support to combat Trump's incumbency advantage. We'll need to unite and mobilize millions of people to the polls on November 3. The Democratic Unity Fund can make that happen -- and so far, over 116,948 people have shown their support for the fund.

I am personally asking for your support at this critical moment. -- Barack Obama

Unfortunately, our records show that you haven't donated to the fund to support the tools, organizers, and more that our nominee and candidates down the ticket need to beat Trump and the GOP. As we get closer to selecting our eventual nominee, it's becoming increasingly urgent that we fully support the Democratic Unity Fund, which is why I'm asking: Will you make your first $7 donation to the fund before Tuesday's end-of-quarter deadline? Any amount you can spare would go a long way before our first quarter comes to a close.

Here's what we have on file for you. Your Democratic Unity Fund supporter record. We need you to strengthen the fund before Tuesday's FEC deadline.

The Democratic Unity Fund is a crucial resource in the fight to defeat Donald Trump and his Republican allies down the ballot -- but it's only as strong as we make it. Right now, as we enter the tail end of primary voting season, is a great time to invest in our future nominee and Democrats nationwide.

Make your first $7 donation to the Democratic Unity Fund before Tuesday's end-of-quarter deadline. No matter who our nominee is, they'll need your support against Trump.

Your support means so much,

We need 27 more supporters from Montross

With less than eight months until the most consequential election of our lifetimes, Donald Trump and the Republicans are organizing everywhere.
DemocratsJoin us.

The clock is ticking towards our end-of-quarter deadline, friend.

With less than eight months until the most consequential election of our lifetimes, Donald Trump and Republicans are organizing everywhere, and spending record sums in an attempt to win a second term. We can't allow them that opportunity, which is why I need you to be one of 27 more people from Montross to contribute before Tuesday at midnight.

Donald Trump has done unspeakable damage to our country in the last three years, and it's on all of us to stop him in his tracks. We can put an end to the corruption, the lying, and the gross incompetence we've seen from this administration -- but only if we elect a Democratic president. That's where the Democratic Unity Fund comes in.

This fund, created by President Obama and the DNC, is our party's best shot at electing Democrats at every level. It'll provide crucial resources for Democratic candidates nationwide -- including our eventual nominee -- when they need it most. We can't leave our candidates' fate up to chance, friend.

Will you be one of 27 more Democrats from Montross to chip in $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund before Tuesday's quarterly deadline? Every penny will help lay the groundwork for our candidates in November.

The Trump campaign and the RNC have two luxuries right now: time and money. They've been running for reelection since the day Trump was inaugurated, and they've raised record-breaking sums of money in that time. We shouldn't be discouraged by their fundraising. We should worry, however, about the extra years their campaign has had to build for 2020.

Our presidential candidates are still competing for our party's nomination, and many of our down-ballot candidates are still involved in primaries of their own. That's why it's incumbent upon all of us to take advantage of the time we have now to build a strong enough party to power our candidates to victory. We've got a good start with programs like Battleground Build-Up 2020 and the DNC War Room, but in order to keep these initiatives funded, we'll need additional major investments from Democrats like you.

Friend, we still need 27 more supporters from Montross to chip in before Tuesday's deadline. Will you donate $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund right now to be one of them?

Thanks for being in this fight,

Howard

Diane -- This month marks the 10 year anniversary of President Obama signing the Affordable Care Act. And even though a majority of Americans support increasing access to quality, affordable health care, manipulated maps have allowed conservatives to wage attacks against our health care for the past decade.

Health care is on the line. But we have a chance to make a difference during the next redistricting cycle in 2021.

All On The Line is fighting to end the gerrymandering that has threatened the ACA and stalled progress on health care. Add your name to demand an end of conservative attacks against the ACA.

Thanks to the ACA, millions of people have health coverage and many more have key protections that expanded their access to care.

If you want to protect the future of health care progress, we can't afford another decade of gerrymandering. Take a stand.

Before Tuesday →

The Democratic Unity Fund is the key to our success in November.
DemocratsJoin us.

First: President Obama and the DNC announced the Democratic Unity Fund last May:

There has never been a more important moment to commit to party unity. - Barack Obama

Then: Many of the Democratic candidates for president announced their support for the fund too -- along with more than 100,000 members of this grassroots team who've donated directly to the fund. That's because they realize just how critical the Democratic Unity Fund is to our success in November.

Thirteen of our 2020 presidential candidates supported the Democratic Unity Fund.

Now: We're just three days away from our end-of-quarter deadline, and a few months from the general election. We can't let our future nominee be tapped out after an expensive primary when the general election begins, which is why we're doing everything in our power to grow the fund now, while there's still time. That is why the Democratic Unity Fund is more important than ever before.

This quarter's FEC Deadline is midnight March 31.

Friend: Will you be one of 30 more supporters from Montross to make your first donation to the Democratic Unity Fund today, before Tuesday's deadline?

The most important thing each of us can do before we know our nominee is to make a firm, unequivocal commitment to party unity. The very best way to do this is by setting aside resources for our nominee and Democrats nationwide to ensure they have exactly what they need to hit the ground running as soon as they enter the general election.

We've got an incredibly important and ambitious goal this month, and we still need 30 more Democrats from Montross to step up if we're going to reach it.

I am personally counting on our most devoted Democrats like you to show your support ahead of Tuesday's midnight deadline.

Will you donate to the Democratic Unity Fund before Tuesday's deadline? If 30 more donors from Montross can contribute, we'll be within striking distance of our goal.

Our candidates are counting on us to do this work. I hope you'll join the fight.

Thanks as always,

Seema

Diane,

We're living through a pandemic that's straining our families, our communities, and our health care system -- especially the medical professionals who are putting their lives on the line every day to save lives and keep our country going. We owe them and everybody on the front lines of this pandemic a profound debt of gratitude. More than ever, we're all in this together.

This crisis also lays bare a lot of truths about our economy and our society. One of them is just how critical health insurance is for every family. Ten years ago this month, I signed the Affordable Care Act into law. And thanks to the hard work of people like you who fought to pass and implement it, we've seen tremendous progress in the decade since -- like providing access to quality, affordable health care to 20 million people and protecting 135 million Americans with preexisting conditions.

Together we changed the lives of millions of people. We saved lives. Because we fought for something we believed in. It's a testament to the power of grassroots organizing.

But right now -- right when people need health care the most -- too many politicians are still trying to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, kick millions off their insurance, and end preexisting conditions protections.

And in some of the most gerrymandered states in the country, there are governors and legislators who continue to reject Medicaid expansion, ignoring the will of their own constituents and putting their communities at greater risk in this pandemic.

We cannot afford another 10 years of gerrymandering-fueled obstruction and pain. That's why All On The Line is focused on empowering people to fight for fair maps -- because right now, our access to health care is on the line. In 2021, we have the opportunity to define the next 10 years of progress -- not only for health care, but also for climate change, immigration reform, gun violence prevention, criminal justice reform, voting rights, and every other issue we care about. If we don't take action to end gerrymandering now, we'll be dealing with obstruction for another decade -- years that we cannot afford.

Diane, to mark the 10-year anniversary of passing the Affordable Care Act, I'm asking you to protect the progress we've made and continue fighting for progress on all of the issues we care about. Can we count on you?
Thank you for supporting All On The Line's effort to end gerrymandering,
Barack Obama

I'm in charge of the DNC emails you receive each day. This is why they're so important:

This election is bigger than any one of us.
DemocratsJoin us.

Hey there,

I'm Jose Cornejo, and I'm the email director here at the Democratic National Committee. With Tuesday's quarterly FEC deadline just days away, I hope you'll give me a minute to explain how your support of the Democratic Unity Fund right now can make a tangible difference in this race, and then donate $7 to the fund.

President Obama joined forces with the DNC last May to announce the Democratic Unity Fund. The goal was simple: To build the critical party infrastructure that our eventual presidential nominee and Democrats running for office nationwide will need to take on the GOP's huge fundraising lead. Trump and the RNC raised over $400 million last year alone. That is a staggering sum of money to compete with.

$400,000,000

Friend, we're only five days away from our first quarterly deadline of 2020 -- a critical milestone in our race for the White House and seats down the ticket. Right now, we're still NOT where we need to be to fully support the Democratic Unity Fund. I'm looking over the numbers, and we still need 47 more people to step up from Montross to hit our goal this quarter. That's why I'm urging you:

Will you donate $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund for the first time today, before Tuesday's critical end-of-quarter deadline? Your contribution will go directly towards funding the resources Democrats need to win everywhere this November.

It's my job to track the donations made through emails like this one on a daily basis, so I can tell you with full confidence that every single donation makes an impact. Every gift -- no matter how big or small -- affects the strategic decisions regarding where the DNC can and should invest its resources.

The primary process has been long and costly, and the very last thing our nominee needs is to be out of money before the general election even begins. That's why the Democratic Unity Fund is so essential to a Democratic win in November -- without adequate resources, our eventual nominee is left vulnerable against Trump and the RNC's war chest.

You're a valuable member of this team, so I'm relying on you to pitch in: Be one of 47 more people from Montross to donate $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund before Tuesday's deadline to give Democrats running for office this year a fighting chance.

This election is bigger than any one of us. Thank you for doing your part.

Jose
