I'm worried

Our democracy is at risk. Next year's redistricting process provides a beacon of hope to achieve fair maps -- but we must be engaged now.

Diane -- Last week, I asked supporters like you to join me and President Obama so we could remind you that next year's redistricting process is our chance to achieve a decade of fair electoral maps.

The people who joined last week's virtual event give me hope because I could tell that they're ready for real, meaningful change. Our supporters are willing to invest their time and energy into carrying out the hard, necessary work to achieve fair maps.

But to be successful during the redistricting process next year, we need to do well in the elections this year. Who we elect in 2020 will determine who draws the lines in 2021. To keep people engaged in the political process this fall, we're launching the Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) Fund. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to power our plans to help people vote.

Our GOTV Fund is brand new and voters have already started casting their ballots. I need your help so that All On The Line can launch more voter outreach programming in our target states. Will you make a donation today in this final stretch before Election Day?

Like I said last week, I worry about what our democracy would look like if we are not successful at securing fair maps. I don't think we can withstand another decade of gerrymandered maps and all that would bring -- more policies that cater to special interests instead of the people, more attacks on the right to vote, and more extremists in office driving our country further apart.

The good news is that we don't have to just endure another decade of manipulated maps and obstruction. We can take steps to stop it -- right now. We can achieve fair maps and finally make progress on issues that are near and dear to our hearts.

Our vision is a democracy where voters choose their representatives instead of politicians picking their voters. And this fall, we need to support fair map champions who believe in that vision.

We're trying to raise $50,000 by the end of the month to sustain our voter outreach efforts. Can I count on you to make a donation to help us reach that goal?

If we work together, fight together, and persevere together -- we can end map manipulation and return our governments to the people.

Let's get to work,
Eric H. Holder, Jr.
