Diane -- When I talked with President Obama and A.G. Holder earlier this month about how our grassroots movement can make a difference, they made it clear: this year is our final chance to elect fair map advocates before redistricting begins.

Luckily Chairman Holder endorsed a slate of candidates who signed a pledge to fight for fair maps -- and our affiliate, the NDRC, can connect you with ways to volunteer.

President Obama and A.G. Holder are urging folks to pay attention to down-ballot races because these races are critical to determining a fair redistricting process.

In many states, the legislators we elect this year will draw maps that last a decade. And we cannot afford another 10 years of manipulated lines that help prop up extreme, unpopular agendas.
