What are you doing this weekend?

Organizing for America
Robert Bruce --

In less than a week, volunteers across the country will be phone banking and knocking on doors as part of our Vote 2010 Kick-Off.

Right now, all across the country, hundreds of volunteer hosts are getting ready for their events, hoping you'll come.

One host, Sarah -- a social worker in Missouri -- has been involved with OFA since the beginning, and started leading events during the health care reform fight. This weekend, she's organized a canvass in her home town, "because it's the most effective way to reach voters who understand, from their daily experience, the need for reform -- health care, financial, education, energy, immigration, equal rights, and the environment."

Hosts like Sarah are ready -- now, they need volunteers.

And that's where you come in: There is a Vote 2010 Kick-Off event in Arlington starting at 10:00 AM on Saturday -- Will you join us? Here are the details:

What: Arlington Vote 2010 Kick-Off event

Where: Eric Wiener's
5710 N 8th St
Arlington, VA, 22205

When: Saturday, June 5th
10:00 AM

RSVP Today

Can't make it to that event? Find others near you here.

Our success in November will come down to one thing -- whether we can get the 15 million folks who voted for the first time in 2008 back to the polls. Historically, these folks are less likely to vote again, but we know that they strongly support the work we're doing.

Since just a small swing in their turnout could affect tight races, mobilizing these voters will make the difference. Will you join us in Arlington on Saturday, June 5th at 10:00 AM?
