Have you made your summer plans?

Organizing for America
Friend --

"I wanted to help my local community, and learn more about where I live and the people that are around."

That's why Anand from Colorado was a summer organizer -- and now, she's a regional field director for Organizing for America.

"I saw that you could get people inspired with Twitter and Facebook ...and I volunteered all these hours because of one message on Facebook."

That's why Candice in California was a summer organizing fellow -- and now she's using those skills as a new media director for a mayoral campaign.

What will you say after your summer with us?

We've put together a short video of some past summer organizers sharing their experiences -- please check it out, and then apply to be a 2011 summer organizer.

Watch the summer organizers video.

Summer organizers will be trained in the basic principles that have always built and powered effective grassroots movements. They'll work directly in communities around the country to organize supporters street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood.

And they'll recruit volunteers, run events, knock on doors, and work hard to support the President and Democrats across the country.

By summer's end, their work will have built upon an impressive national grassroots structure that will help us fight for the issues that matter most.

Apply to be a summer organizer today -- or pass this along to someone you know who might be interested. The deadline to apply is April 18th:
