Thursday: Come to the policy forum in Williamsburg

Obama - Biden
Diane --

We're up against an opponent backed by shadowy outside groups who are going to stop at nothing to defeat President Obama and other Democrats.

So how do we beat a special-interest-fueled fundraising machine? I'll tell you how: by doing anything and everything we can to turn out as many supporters as possible to the polls this fall.

Volunteers here in Virginia have been hard at work doing that every single day -- knocking on doors, registering voters, and making phone calls -- but we need to step it up in a big way if we're going to win.

That's where you come in: There's a policy forum happening in Williamsburg on Thursday, July 26th -- and you should be there. Committed community leaders like you will be gathering to talk about the progress we've made under President Obama -- like improving our economy, strengthening our national security, and reforming our health care and education systems. We'll cover how the President's accomplishments have helped Virginians, and how we can spread the word to turn out the vote this fall.

So I hope you'll join us on Thursday. Here are the details:

When we talk about the importance of ramping up our ground game, we're not kidding around. Right now, our opponents are trying to buy this election -- and it's going to take the strongest grassroots organization in history to stop them.

You already know what it would mean for the country if they succeed. But the people who still need to know the stakes are right under your nose -- your friends, neighbors, relatives, workout buddies, fellow carpoolers, folks in your book club, bowling league teammates -- anyone you know who hasn't decided to get off the sidelines and start pitching in to protect our progress.

On Thursday, we'll talk about the issues at stake in this election -- and how best to talk about them with your neighbors in Williamsburg. Come out and join us:
