So much has changed for our party since the general election began just a few weeks ago.
First, Joe Biden became the presumptive Democratic nominee. Then, he was endorsed by Barack Obama, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren -- just to name a few! Now, Democrats are uniting behind Joe Biden, and the DNC is doing everything possible to support his campaign and Democratic candidates down the ballot. That's where the Democratic Unity Fund comes in.
The Democratic Unity Fund was announced by Barack Obama and the DNC to support the presidential nominee and Democrats nationwide. Now that the general election has begun, it's more important than ever to commit to electing Democrats at all levels. But time is running out to support the Democratic Unity Fund before Thursday's deadline -- the first FEC deadline of the general election.
Will you make a $7 donation to the Democratic Unity Fund before Thursday at midnight? This is the first FEC deadline of the general election, and Democrats nationwide are counting on you.
One of the biggest reasons the Democratic Unity Fund is so critical is that it will help close the gap between our Democratic candidates and their Republican opponents. The GOP has a big fundraising advantage. While we don't need to match them dollar for dollar, we do need to provide our candidates with as much support as possible so that their messages aren't drowned out by waves of GOP attack ads. If just a few more people from Virginia support the fund before Thursday's FEC deadline, we'll be on the right track heading into May.
So, will you chip in $7 before Thursday's deadline? I hope I can count on your support.
Stay safe,
Patrick

P.S. It's on all of us to build the strongest Democratic Party in our history, and we don't have long to do that. We're counting on commitments from Democrats like you. Take a look at what we have on file for your support of the Democratic Unity Fund, then make a $7 donation to it.
