Diane -- Today's Election Day! By now you should have a plan to vote if you haven't already cast your ballot. Luckily, President Obama recently shared some helpful voting tips. Here's what you need to know:
If you still have an absentee ballot, drop it off at an official drop box or election office -- even if your state allows it to be postmarked by Election Day, bring it straight to the source if you can.
If you plan to vote in-person, take a moment to confirm your local polling location. There's a chance it might be different this year to accommodate social distancing.
If you are not registered yet, 21 states allow same-day voter registration (SDVR). That means you can register and vote today at your local polling place → See if your state allows SDVR.
If you are still in line at the time when polls officially close, stay in line! Anyone who arrives before polls close has a right to vote!
Remember: You have the right to vote and no one is legally allowed to take that away from you. If you're experiencing any trouble at the polls like intimidation or threats, contact the voter protection hotline.
