My 'Bama Says: FiveThirtyEight says these states could get new congressional maps by 2024

FiveThirtyEight: More than a half-dozen states face the prospect of having to go through the redistricting process again . . . Both Democrats and Republicans have the opportunity to flip seats.

Diane, there are redistricting fights happening across the country right now – and the outcomes will shape the playing field for the battle for the House of Representatives in 2024.

Before the last election, our work helped secure what the New York Times called "the fairest House map of the last 40 years." Now, depending on what we do over the next few months, one of two things will happen before the next election:

OPTION #1:
If we let the GOP get away with unchecked gerrymandering, then Republicans could run up the score in the House before a single ballot is even cast in 2024.

OR

OPTION #2:
If we continue fighting for fair redistricting, then we can secure an even fairer map ahead of a highly consequential election!
