John Boehner is on the wrong side of history on this:

Organizing for Action
Diane --

Here's why the executive action President Obama just proposed is such a big deal:

The President's proposal will protect all federal government contractors from discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity -- this covers a quarter of our nation's workforce, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.

Here's the thing, though:

Congress could extend those protections to everyone right now -- the Senate passed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act last year, and we've been waiting for the House ever since.

Speaker Boehner isn't just against the bill -- he refuses to bring it up, saying there's "no way" the House will take action on it this year.

Tell Speaker Boehner he's on the wrong side of history on this -- add your name to fight discrimination today.

Look, we've made undeniable progress in the fight for equality.

In the last year alone, we've seen DOMA struck down and 10 more states embrace marriage equality. Today, nearly half of all Americans live in a state where same-sex couples can get married.

That's what makes it so outrageous that some people still believe it should be legal to treat LGBT Americans like second-class citizens.

Those groups are still trying to turn back the clock, too -- in states like Arizona and Oregon, interest groups have actually fought to make it legal for businesses to refuse service to same-sex couples. But those efforts have failed because grassroots organizers fought back.

President Obama is doing what he can to help end this kind of discrimination.

If you think it shouldn't be legal to discriminate against LGBT Americans anywhere in this country, join the fight against discrimination today:
