We are running out of time to make a difference in this election -- and the future of our country, and our democracy, is on the line. Look no further than this week: Senate Republicans are rushing to fill Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's vacant Supreme Court seat with someone who is all but certain to put our health care at risk -- in the middle of a mismanaged pandemic.
That is why the Democratic Unity Fund, launched last year by President Obama, is more crucial today than it's ever been. Thanks to the fund -- and the 296,787 people on this team who've supported it already -- Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, plus Democrats running for the Senate, the House, and seats down the ballot are in a position to compete with their GOP counterparts and win in these last three weeks if we can properly ramp up our final efforts.
Together, we invested in long-term infrastructure while rebuilding trust with grassroots supporters, and now that we're in the final weeks of the general election, we urgently need to get out the vote in every way we can. Tomorrow is the last FEC deadline of this race, meaning it's the final time we'll publicly report the strength of our party. So it is no exaggeration to say that a contribution made today or tomorrow is tremendously more effective than one of the same amount made next week.
Will you make your first $7 donation directly to the Democratic Unity Fund before tomorrow's FEC deadline? If just 5 more folks from Montross pitch in, we'll be on track to meet our fundraising goal -- ultimately giving Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Democratic candidates at every level the best possible shot at beating Trump and the GOP.
President Obama launched the fund because he knew that our party's nominee, regardless of who emerged from the competitive primary process, would face an uphill battle. Now, Joe Biden and Democrats running for the Senate, the House, and seats down the ballot are counting on each of us to do our part to keep the Democratic Unity Fund operating at full capacity in this final sprint towards November 3.
According to your donor file, you have yet to make a donation directly to the fund -- and we can reach our final FEC goal if 5 more people from Montross chip in. If you can, I'm asking you to please donate your first $7 to the Democratic Unity Fund before the last FEC deadline of this election to help win the White House and seats all across the country.
Thanks for being there for our party. Your commitment does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. I'm so grateful to have you in our corner.

P.S. It bears repeating: Winning back the White House is not enough to move our country forward. Equally important are taking back the Senate and winning seats down the ballot -- and our success will depend on the amount of potential Democratic voters we can reach between now and Election Day. If you're in the position to do so, please make a $7 donation to the Democratic Unity Fund before tomorrow's deadline and be one of 5 more folks we need from Montross to help reach our fundraising goal.
