My 'Bama Says: “That’s how it’s always been, and that’s how it will continue.”

Did you see what President Obama said about our grassroots movement? Our democracy is stronger because of what we have accomplished. States that were once gerrymandered ... are now highly competitive, allowing voters to choose their representatives instead of the other way around.

He's right! Together, we've helped: Elect Democracy Defenders to gubernatorial offices. Flip state legislative chambers in states like Michigan, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania. Elect Judge Janet Protasiewicz to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. And more!

But President Obama also made it clear: Our work is far from over. [T]he movement doesn't stop here. We must continue the work until we have fair maps in every state. Redistricting is no longer a once-a-decade event. The fight for fair maps is happening right now.

He's right about that, too. CNN: The hidden dynamic that could tip control of the House: As many as a dozen or more states could redraw the lines governing their congressional elections again before the 2024 election, more than enough to shift the balance of power in [the] House.

President Obama: The fight to safeguard our democracy is happening every day. That's how it's always been, and that's how it will continue.
