This email only applies to people who drink water.

The Clean Water Act has been protecting rivers, lakes, and natural sources of drinking water for decades -- it's just common sense.

But right now, polluters and special interests are exploiting loopholes and jeopardizing water sources that add to the drinking supplies of 117 million Americans.

That's insane.

Fight back against the groups who want to tear down clean-water protections -- add your name right now.

The Clean Water Act protections are about preserving natural resources for generations to come, so your kids, their kids, and maybe even your kids' grandkids might be able to drink clean water.

We decided a long time ago in this country that this was a worthwhile endeavor, even if polluters would rather have zero limits on what they can dump into our water.

That's what this fight is all about. The EPA standards that President Obama is fighting for are basic protections that will keep our drinking water and wetlands safe.
