Diane: 24 more people needed in your area

Organizing for Action
Diane --

President Obama introduced a plan earlier this year to cut carbon pollution from power plants by 30 percent by the end of the next decade.

That's a big deal. Now, we have to help make it a reality.

If you support this kind of aggressive action to fight climate change, we're asking you to tell the Environmental Protection Agency, which is currently collecting public comments on the President's plan. Already, more than a quarter-million OFA supporters have stood up -- we want to find 100,000 more before Tuesday.

To get there, we need 24 people in your area to add their names -- will you stand up and be counted today?

Power plants are the single largest source of carbon pollution in the United States. They're responsible for 40 percent (!!) of the carbon pollution in this country.

As you might expect, the special interests and polluters like things the way they are -- and they're already doing everything they can to fight the President's plan.

For a long time, they've argued that fighting climate change is bad for the economy. A recent study by the Global Commission on the Economy & Climate Change actually shows that we don't have to choose between a strong economy and a safe climate. Modernizing power plants, wasting less energy through efficiency, and clean-energy innovations could mean more money in your pocket and more jobs right here at home.

The other side is running out of excuses, but unfortunately, they still have plenty of cash and influence.

Help fight back in a meaningful way right now -- add your name to our public comments for the EPA:
