Diane -- I've spent a lot of my professional time watching the polls in important Senate races over the past year, and I've got to tell you: There is no doubt that control of the Senate will come down to a couple key states -- this will be really damn close. A few examples: A recent poll in North Carolina showed Senator Kay Hagan up 48% against her Republican challenger with 46%. We're in danger of falling behind in Louisiana -- a poll from a couple weeks ago had us down three points. In Iowa, the Senate race with Bruce Braley is a dead-even tie.
