Add your name in support of stronger overtime rules

Organizing for Action
Diane --

Here's a reminder for anybody who thinks that Americans should work longer hours: They deserve to get paid for it, too.

On measure after measure, our economy is improving, but for too long too many Americans have struggled with stagnant wages.

You can help change that today -- join OFA supporters in telling the Department of Labor to expand overtime eligibility.

President Obama's announcement last week that he's raising the threshold for overtime pay will make nearly five million workers eligible for overtime. This proposal extends a big step up into the middle class, and it's the exact sort of common-sense economic policy we've been fighting for.

But it's important to make sure that this is a strong and lasting boost for workers -- and that's where the Department of Labor comes in.

They're collecting comments to help them build a rule that reflects the economy we all want to have, and that means they should hear from supporters like you across the country.

At OFA, we've collected names before, on issues like the President's Clean Power Plan and net neutrality. And thanks to hundreds of thousands of OFA supporters, we made a big splash on both.

That type of participation matters -- the proposals for the Clean Power Plan and net neutrality have been so powerful in part because so many people joined in the fight.

This is another instance where everybody deserves a chance to be heard -- so add your name in support of stronger overtime rules today:
