Our one path forward:
Never in our history has there been a more urgent time for the DNC to invest in a robust 50-state strategy. Let me lay it all out:
Make a $3 contribution to the DNC before Friday's end-of-month deadline to help Democrats fight back in every state and every ZIP code. Winning up and down the ticket in 2019 and 2020 depends on what we can raise together before this deadline. I've seen the 50-state strategy work firsthand. When I became chair of the DNC after 2004, our party was broken and battered -- but by organizing to win everywhere Democrats came roaring back. We took control of the House and the Senate in 2006 and then elected Barack Obama to the White House just two years later. Those victories didn't happen overnight. They were the direct result of our unrelenting determination to organize early and build our party from the grassroots on up. I know we can replicate that success and take back seats up and down the ticket if we invest in crucial programs like Organizing Corps 2020 right now. There couldn't be more on the line, so I am asking you to pitch in your first $3 donation of 2019 before Friday's critical fundraising deadline. Democrats can't win in all 50 states without you. Thank you for believing in the 50-state strategy and investing in our party. Folks like you make victory possible. Howard Gov. Howard Dean Former DNC Chair P.S. When I look at what is happening in our country right now, I see only one path forward: A commitment to building a robust 50-state strategy. Donate $3 before Friday's midnight deadline to invest in the resources it'll take to organize and win across the map. |

I wanted to reach out
Next year is our chance to make sure that our shared values -- of decency, honesty, and progress -- are represented in the Oval Office. That's why I'm excited that the DNC asked me to announce a bold new effort: The Democratic Unity Fund. The Democratic Unity Fund is a promise that no matter who earns our nomination, he or she will have a strong, united, and well-prepared DNC ready to lift them to victory. Because winning in 2020 won't happen on its own. That's why I'm asking: Will you make a $3 donation to the Democratic Unity Fund today? Every contribution will be dedicated toward building the kind of robust, dynamic party infrastructure that our eventual nominee and Democrats across the country will rely on to win. The Democratic Unity Fund will help power critical DNC programs like Organizing Corps 2020, the Data Warehouse, and the nationwide voter protection efforts that are essential to winning in 2020 -- programs that Democratic candidates can't succeed without. The stakes couldn't be higher in 2020. This is a pivotal moment for our country and our democracy -- and we simply can't sit on the sidelines. So I hope you'll contribute to the Democratic Unity Fund to support our eventual Democratic nominee for president and Democrats in all 50 states. Thank you, for your commitment to fighting for our shared values. Barack Obama |

A promise
Last fall, our party set a new standard at the ballot box, breaking records for turnout and ushering in a new wave of leaders who better reflect the America we see in our communities and workplaces every day. And now, the presidential campaign is picking up steam and building off that momentum, and that's important -- because when it comes to the 2020 election, the stakes couldn't be higher. But here's the thing: No matter who our Democratic nominee is, next year is our chance to make sure that our shared values are represented in the Oval Office -- our values of decency, honesty, and progress; our belief in expanding opportunity for everyone, no matter what we look like, how we worship, or who we love. That's why I'm excited that the DNC asked me to announce a bold new effort: The Democratic Unity Fund. Launching today, the fund will be dedicated to electing our party's eventual presidential nominee and winning up and down the ballot in 2020. The Democratic Unity Fund is a promise that whoever earns our nomination, he or she will have a strong, united, and well-organized DNC ready to spring into action the moment the general election starts -- a DNC that's ready to lift us all to victory in November. Because winning in November won't happen on its own. That's why I'm asking you: Will you make a $3 donation to the Democratic Unity Fund today? Every contribution will be dedicated toward building the kind of robust, dynamic party infrastructure that our eventual nominee and Democrats across the country will rely on to win. In any primary, candidates will naturally draw contrasts and refine their differences, but the truth is that as Democrats, we share so many of the same beliefs about our country -- the same hopes for our future. That's why, while our slate of thoughtful and inspiring candidates competes for our party's nomination, the DNC is hard at work building the organization and programs that will support our nominee from the second they accept our party's nomination next July. You can support that work right now. A contribution today won't sit on the shelf until we elect our nominee. Every dollar will be used to power critical DNC programs like Organizing Corps 2020, the Data Warehouse -- our massive effort to revitalize our voter data and unify the progressive ecosystem -- and the nationwide voter protection efforts that are essential to winning in 2020. These programs won't reach their full potential unless we invest in them right now. I hope you'll contribute to the Democratic Unity Fund to support our eventual Democratic nominee for president and Democrats in all 50 states. Your support has never been more important, so any amount you can offer will make a difference. Thank you, for your commitment to fighting for our shared values. Barack Obama |

Stand up to Republican attacks on the ACA →
Just this week, a new CDC survey revealed that more than 1.1 million Americans lost their health insurance coverage last year -- doubtless because of Donald Trump and his cronies' efforts to undermine and sabotage the Affordable Care Act. The GOP's plan to kill the ACA by one thousand cuts is working. But we cannot sit back and allow them to get away with this. If we've learned anything, it's that Republicans will not let up until they've completely dismantled our health care system. That is why I am counting on you to speak out during this critical moment. Add your name to show Republicans in the White House, Congress, and nationwide that you're ready to fight back against Republican attacks on health care. For nearly a decade, the GOP has made it their top priority to undermine President Obama's landmark health care legislation, playing politics with Americans' safety and lives. This must stop. Donald Trump and his allies will stop at nothing to undermine the ACA. I am counting on dedicated Democrats like you to fight back. Add your name today to demand that Congress defend every American's right to quality, affordable health care. Thank you for fighting back. Let me tell you about All On The Line, Diane
I know there are a lot of campaigns asking for your support right now. Today, I want to make sure you know about one that's absolutely critical to the future of our democracy.
It's called All On The Line, and it's led by a team that's fighting to end partisan and racial gerrymandering nationwide. It's an effort rooted in common sense and based on the idea that voters should pick their politicians -- not the other way around. This work is a top priority for me and my friend, former Attorney General Eric Holder.
In a second, I'm going to ask you to chip in to support All On The Line -- but first, I wanted to tell you why I believe so deeply in this cause and the people who are fighting for it every day.
It's because of the ordinary folks coming together to pick up the fight -- because they believe that with enough effort and enough passion, we can make things better.
This team is growing fast, Diane, and they're doing it the right way. All On The Line is empowering local organizers to become redistricting experts, offering free top-notch training, and helping activists make a difference in their communities. First and foremost, it's a campaign driven and informed by local volunteers.
It's good, old-fashioned neighbor-to-neighbor organizing -- the same style of organizing that I based my campaigns on in 2008 and 2012. Some of All On The Line's local leaders are the same talented folks who've fought for so much progress over the past decade. Others are first-time organizers -- new activists who are fired up and ready to go.
All have one thing in common: They want to restore fairness to our democracy.
I hope you'll join us. Contribute to All On The Line today and be a part of the team that is fighting to make our voting districts fairer:

This work is so important to me, Diane.
Over the past decade, we've seen firsthand how gerrymandering plays a role in blocking progress on issues that the majority of Americans agreed on. Republicans in the House of Representatives refused to vote on common-sense gun laws, blocked meaningful action on climate change, and tried again and again to repeal the Affordable Care Act and strip down the security it offers to millions of Americans.
Progress on so many of the issues we care about was hurt or hindered by gerrymandering -- by politicians who knew their seats were safe from any real challenge. Because when you've got a safe seat, you've got less reason to seek out common ground.
But with All On The Line leading the way, we can change things. We can make sure our democracy works for everybody.
This is your chance to get in on the ground floor of a big movement. Chip in today to support this critical work:
