 Last fall, our party set a new standard at the ballot box, breaking records for turnout and ushering in a new wave of leaders who better reflect the America we see in our communities and workplaces every day. And now, the presidential campaign is picking up steam and building off that momentum, and that's important -- because when it comes to the 2020 election, the stakes couldn't be higher. But here's the thing: No matter who our Democratic nominee is, next year is our chance to make sure that our shared values are represented in the Oval Office -- our values of decency, honesty, and progress; our belief in expanding opportunity for everyone, no matter what we look like, how we worship, or who we love. That's why I'm excited that the DNC asked me to announce a bold new effort: The Democratic Unity Fund. Launching today, the fund will be dedicated to electing our party's eventual presidential nominee and winning up and down the ballot in 2020. The Democratic Unity Fund is a promise that whoever earns our nomination, he or she will have a strong, united, and well-organized DNC ready to spring into action the moment the general election starts -- a DNC that's ready to lift us all to victory in November. Because winning in November won't happen on its own. That's why I'm asking you: Will you make a $3 donation to the Democratic Unity Fund today? Every contribution will be dedicated toward building the kind of robust, dynamic party infrastructure that our eventual nominee and Democrats across the country will rely on to win. In any primary, candidates will naturally draw contrasts and refine their differences, but the truth is that as Democrats, we share so many of the same beliefs about our country -- the same hopes for our future. That's why, while our slate of thoughtful and inspiring candidates competes for our party's nomination, the DNC is hard at work building the organization and programs that will support our nominee from the second they accept our party's nomination next July. You can support that work right now. A contribution today won't sit on the shelf until we elect our nominee. Every dollar will be used to power critical DNC programs like Organizing Corps 2020, the Data Warehouse -- our massive effort to revitalize our voter data and unify the progressive ecosystem -- and the nationwide voter protection efforts that are essential to winning in 2020.
