Friend --
Eight years ago, I spoke at the Democratic National Convention. I was proud to speak then not only as the wife of our vice president, but as a full-time teacher and a military mom.
A lot has changed since then, but three things are still true: I'm still teaching, I'm still a proud military mother, and I still know that Joe will fight for every American, every day.
Later tonight, I'll address the Democratic National Convention again, after we formally name my husband as our party's candidate for President of the United States. I'm excited to share with the world, once more, the story of our family and Joe's vision for our future.
But right now, there's something I have to ask: Can you split your first donation between Joe's campaign and the DNC before I speak tonight?
Joe set a huge goal of raising $25 million online before the convention ends, and we're counting on supporters like you to make sure we meet it. A contribution of $10 -- or whatever you can afford right now -- will make a real difference.
One other thing has been true these last eight years and throughout Joe's career: Grassroots donors have powered his campaigns. It was true for the Obama-Biden ticket, and it's true now for this Biden-Harris campaign.
In fact, 97% of all the donations to this campaign come from supporters like you.
I've seen what kind of momentum a campaign has after a convention. It can be electric. But unless we have the resources to capitalize on that momentum, it won't get us to the finish line.
That's why reaching this $25 million online goal before the convention ends on Thursday is so important. So:
Will you split a $10 donation between Joe's campaign and the DNC to power our campaign and Democrats nationwide to victory before I speak tonight?
Joe is going to win this for us -- but he can't do it without us. I hope we can count on you tonight.
Thanks,
Jill
Dr. Jill Biden
