BREAKING NEWS: "Federal court blocks Louisiana [congressional] redistricting map" -- Axios |
Yesterday, a federal court ordered a new congressional map for Louisiana after finding the legislature's approved map suppressed Black voters and violated Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. Our affiliate, the National Redistricting Foundation, supported plaintiffs fighting on the behalf of impacted Louisianans to ensure that their voices would be heard and respected by a fair map. This is an incredible victory for Louisiana and the movement for fair maps.

Like President Obama said: "The fight for fair maps is not over."
The redistricting landscape has been changing nearly every day. Our actions right now could be the difference between voters being able to fairly elect leaders who represent their interests -- or another decade of obstruction.
Help us keep up the fight for fair maps in 2022 and beyond. We need your support in this fight to end gerrymandering.
