A big step for clean water

Organizing for Action
Diane --

Last fall, we asked you to stand up for the Clean Water Act, one of our nation's core environmental laws that's been keeping our water clean for nearly half a century.

OFA supporters submitted tens of thousands of comments to the EPA in support of closing loopholes to prevent polluters from putting millions of Americans' drinking water at risk.

Today, President Obama followed through on his promise to do just that, and keep the Clean Water Act strong.

Share the good news today with your friends -- or anyone you know who drinks water:

This is great news for anybody who drinks water.

This fight isn't over.

John Boehner and Mitch McConnell's Congress and their polluter allies, have been doing everything they can to fight protections for clean air, public health, and a safe climate. It's all but certain they'll try to block this, too.

Here's the good news: When enough of us raise our voices to protect our iconic waterways, wetlands, and other sources of drinking water, we win.

We have the power to protect what's important to us if we do it together.
