Add your name to stand with moms, Diane

Being a mom isn't just the most important job I have, Diane -- it's also a huge part of why I'm a Democrat. I'm so proud to support my colleagues who are fighting day in and day out so that moms and their kids have access to affordable health care, a quality education, equal pay, and paid leave to care for their family. The list really goes on and on. But the guys on the other side of the aisle -- some of whom think they should be our next president -- have other ideas about women and families, and, frankly, those ideas are pretty bad. They're pushing back against equal pay and paid leave protections tooth and nail, finding new ways almost every day to undermine Obamacare, doing whatever they can to take women's medical decisions out of their hands, and threatening to eliminate the Department of Education entirely. As we gear up for 2016, Diane, I think we're clear on one thing: If we want to make things better for mothers and their families, we've got to keep the White House and we've got to put everything we have into taking back Congress.
