Diane -- On this day three years ago, the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act as constitutional -- and just three days ago, they came together and voted in support of the law again! These two decisions from our nation's highest court cement Obamacare as the law of the land, validating decades of hard work from Democrats to bring economic security and peace of mind to hardworking American families by making affordable care more accessible. So I hope you're proud today, Diane, because as a Democrat, this victory belongs to you, too. Making affordable care a reality for every American has been, and will always be, a core tenet of the values we champion as Democrats. And after this week, there's no doubt that this debate is over. But Diane, in spite of the overwhelming proof that Obamacare works, along with the Supreme Court's backing, Republicans in Congress (and those seeking the GOP's nomination for president, too) are still demanding a full repeal. Their refusal to accept that health care is a right, not a privilege, is truly mind-boggling -- and yet another reminder that their agenda just doesn't represent what's best for the American people.
