Friend -- I'm so happy to share some great news for 2016: We have three finalists to host the Democratic National Convention where we'll nominate the next President of the United States. Here's that list: Philadelphia, New York, and Columbus. In the next few months, we'll be making our final choice. In the meantime, I need you to say you're supporting Democrats as we build up to 2016. We'll make sure you're one of the first to know as soon as we've made our decision: http://my.democrats.org/Convention-Updates I'm so excited for this convention, and I hope you are too. We have a critical, incredible opportunity to elect another Democrat to the presidency, and this is where we'll come together as a party to do that important work. We will review what we've learned from 2014 and what we can do to make the coming years the best our party has ever had. We'll be keeping you updated with details about the convention, and we'll announce the location soon. Thanks, Debbie Debbie Wasserman Schultz Chair Democratic National Committee P.S. -- Obviously, we have a lot of work to do before 2016, and only you can help us do it. Add your voice to mine
Friend -- A few days ago, I announced some steps I'm going to take to start fixing our broken immigration system. Those executive actions mean we can crack down on illegal immigration at the border, prioritize deporting felons, not families, and require that many immigrants who have been living in the shadows pass a criminal background check and pay taxes. It means we can help up to 5 million people. Those are steps that will make our country work better. I'm proud to take these actions, and I hope you're proud to support them. But they do not mean that we have less of a need for comprehensive, bipartisan legislation to fully fix America's immigration system. Last year, the Senate passed a bipartisan bill -- a good one, even if it wasn't perfect. It would allow many people who've lived here for a very long time but aren't properly documented the opportunity to pay their taxes, get in the back of the line, pass a background check, and go through a process that allows them to earn their citizenship. That bipartisan Senate bill has sat in the House of Representatives for more than 500 days -- and I believe that it is my responsibility as President to do everything I lawfully can to make sure that we don't keep on making the system worse in the meantime. But let me be clear: I want the actions I took last week to be replaced by action from Congress. I'm going to be reaching out to congressional leaders moving forward, and encouraging them to join me in passing a comprehensive, bipartisan fix to this problem. Today, I'm asking you to add your voice to mine: http://my.democrats.org/Support-Immigration-Action Too much is at stake for too many to stand by and wait any longer. Thanks for being with me, as always. Barack Obama

The DNC wants to hear from Diane
Diane -- Democrats had a tough night on November 4th -- and I think we need to be clear-eyed about the results. But it isn't because we didn't work hard enough -- the doors you knocked on, phone calls you made, and dollars you chipped in made a real difference. We need to take a hard look at what happened this year, Diane. And I think that process begins with hearing from people like you. We need your help, Diane. Share your thoughts, complete this survey, and send it to your fellow Democrats. Democrats are in the process of building a group of party leaders who will take a deep look at what went well for us in 2014 and identify key areas where we need to improve. We're committed to doing better, and you're an essential part of that, Diane. Fill out this survey and let me know your thoughts: http://my.democrats.org/Share-Your-Thoughts Let's look forward to more success in 2016 and beyond -- thanks for all your help. I'm proud of the President - are you?
Friend -- This week, we saw President Obama announce common-sense steps forward on immigration. That's not going over too well with the people in Washington who don't want to see us make any progress whatsoever. It's been over 500 days since a bipartisan majority in the Senate sent the House a comprehensive immigration reform bill. John Boehner has simply refused to touch it. I'm so proud that the President followed through on his promise to take action if Congress didn't. That's the kind of change we're fighting for -- stand with President Obama's immigration action today. We know this fight is just getting started. Some in Congress have threatened to block the President's nominees in protest. Others have said they should sue the President again. And there's even been talk of shutting down the government over this. The one thing they won't do, I guess, is hold a vote on bipartisan reform. The crazy thing is that the debate is not about whether or not our immigration system is broken, or whether or not Congress is the only one that can truly put in place a permanent fix. The debate seems to be between people who are working hard to find common-sense solutions, and others who just want to stand in the way and keep the status quo. We know which side we're on, so let's fight for it -- stand with President Obama's immigration action today: http://my.barackobama.com/Immigration-Reform Thanks, Jon Jon Carson Executive Director Organizing for Action

We really need your help with this, Diane
The 2014 election isn't over yet, Diane. The final Senate race is up for grabs in Louisiana, and that's where Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu is defending her seat in a runoff against a Republican named Bill Cassidy. Here's the kind of guy we're talking about: Cassidy voted against Hurricane Sandy recovery funds, against ending the government shutdown last year, against extending the debt limit -- risking default -- and even against the Violence Against Women Act. In short, we simply can't let Republicans like Cassidy win -- he represents one of the sharpest contrasts to progressive thinking in politics today. So help us fight back and chip in $3 or more today to elect Democrats like Mary. If you've saved your payment information, your donation will go through immediately. QUICK DONATE: $3 QUICK DONATE: $10 QUICK DONATE: $25 QUICK DONATE: $50 QUICK DONATE: $100 Or donate another amount: https://my.democrats.org/Invest-in-Democrats Winning in Louisiana allows us to keep one more Democratic voice of reason in Congress who can help President Obama keep the new Republican majority in check. Thanks for stepping up, Diane -- we need you now more than ever. Debbie Debbie Wasserman Schultz Chair Democratic National Committee |

Pass. A. Bill.
Diane -- I don't get it: The other side is talking about lawsuits, pledging to delay presidential nominations, and even threatening to shut down the government again. All because President Obama took executive action to help fix our broken immigration system. Last night, he spoke directly to these folks: "To those members of Congress who question my authority to make our immigration system work better, or question the wisdom of me acting where Congress has failed, I have one answer: Pass a bill." That's right: Pass. A. Bill. I'm glad the President refused to wait any longer. The American people deserve solutions, not more political games. Let's show support for much-needed action on immigration -- add your name right now: http://my.barackobama.com/Immigration-Reform Thanks, Messina Jim Messina Chair Organizing for Action

Immigration
Diane, I want to tell you why I'm taking action on immigration. There's no disagreement in Washington that our system is badly broken. That's why a bipartisan majority in the Senate passed comprehensive immigration reform. That was more than 500 days ago, but we're still waiting for the House to hold a vote. Every day we delay, our country and our economy suffer. Millions of families go on living in the shadows, without a chance to pay their taxes or do what's necessary to get on the right side of the law. So, just like every president in the last 70 years -- Republican and Democrat -- I'm taking steps in my power to help fix this broken immigration system. If you agree that we can't wait any longer for meaningful action on immigration, join Americans across the country, including supporters of OFA, who are standing up to fight for reform. Some voices in this debate want to make this issue about me, so I want to be clear about this: The actions I'm taking today are no substitute for comprehensive reform. Only Congress can finish the job. But I'm not just going to wait for that day to come. The American people expect solutions from the people they send to Washington. Today, I'm doing what I can to take common-sense steps forward. Add your name if you're ready to fight for reform: http://my.barackobama.com/Immigration-Reform Thank you, Barack Obama
