I'm proud of the President - are you?

Organizing for Action
Friend --

This week, we saw President Obama announce common-sense steps forward on immigration.

That's not going over too well with the people in Washington who don't want to see us make any progress whatsoever.

It's been over 500 days since a bipartisan majority in the Senate sent the House a comprehensive immigration reform bill. John Boehner has simply refused to touch it.

I'm so proud that the President followed through on his promise to take action if Congress didn't.

That's the kind of change we're fighting for -- stand with President Obama's immigration action today.

We know this fight is just getting started.

Some in Congress have threatened to block the President's nominees in protest. Others have said they should sue the President again. And there's even been talk of shutting down the government over this.

The one thing they won't do, I guess, is hold a vote on bipartisan reform.

The crazy thing is that the debate is not about whether or not our immigration system is broken, or whether or not Congress is the only one that can truly put in place a permanent fix.

The debate seems to be between people who are working hard to find common-sense solutions, and others who just want to stand in the way and keep the status quo.

We know which side we're on, so let's fight for it -- stand with President Obama's immigration action today:
