Here's what we expect from tomorrow's GOP debate

DemocratsJoin us.
Last month, we here at the DNC did something pretty unusual for us -- we gleefully tuned in to Fox News. And Diane, we were glued to our TVs throughout the entire first Republican debate.

We knew we were in for a wild ride with Donald Trump leading the pack, and he definitely didn't disappoint. But while we couldn't look away as Trump waxed poetic about his wealth, advertised his misogyny, and put down other candidates, some pretty sobering things emerged from the evening as well.

The candidates doubled down on their conservative records and fired up their base. Millions of people were watching, and Diane, many of them were impressed by what they heard. Carly Fiorina did so well in the "kids' table" debate that she is now polling higher than some of the (formerly) top-tier candidates. And lackluster performances from perceived frontrunners like Jeb Bush and Scott Walker gave would-be supporters even more incentive to jump on the Trump bandwagon.

Tomorrow night's debate is going to be another chance for the GOP field to strut their stuff (as underwhelming as that stuff may be). I'll be watching, and I hope you will be, too.

Add your name to say you'll be joining Democrats across the country to see what these Republicans have to say for themselves:

We're in this to win in 2016 -- but we can't do it without you, Diane. Thanks so much for being on board.

All the best,

Amy
