Friend -- We're looking for the next Barack Obama. That's the whole idea behind the OFA Fellows Program. Our mission is to find and train the next great community organizers in this country. We want people who are ambitious, not afraid to get involved, and who are passionate enough to keep fighting for change even when the work is hard. This is our side's secret weapon: people. We invest in people. And we want to go all in next year, so we're setting a record-shattering goal of training 10,000 new organizers in 2015. This week's fundraising deadline will decide a lot -- we need your help. Will you help invest in the future of this movement by chipping in $5 or more today? Our side can't afford to look at the fight for change as something that will take place over weeks or months. We know that real, lasting progress is something that can take years to reach. We take pride in the fact that the President of the United States got his start organizing the families affected by closed steel mills on Chicago's South Side. This work isn't just playing the long game, though -- the whole idea is that these 10,000 folks will be working their tails off on the issue organizing we're doing today. And years from now, these are the same people who will be progressive leaders in their communities. Some will be elected officials, and -- yeah -- one may even go on to be the organizer-in-chief. This program is about developing their skills right now, so it all pays off -- in 2015 and for years down the line. If that sounds like something you can get behind, do your part and chip in today: https://donate.barackobama.com/Deadline-December-31st Thanks, Ashley Ashley Pinedo Training Director Organizing for Action | |
