Diane -- Earlier this month, the United States and its international partners finalized an agreement with Iran crafted to prevent it from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Now, it's time for what President Obama has referred to as "the most consequential foreign policy debate that our country has had since the invasion of Iraq." Many leading scientists and non-proliferation experts have already spoken up in support of the agreement, but the conversation is far from over. We're writing today because we believe it's important to engage in this critical conversation. If you'd like to join in, add your name. In the coming weeks, Congress will vote on this deal. We can expect a robust debate on this issue in Washington and in our communities. In fact, the heated rhetoric started before the agreement was even finalized. That's why getting the full story on this agreement is so important. When we're talking about the difference between war and peace, facts matter. Conversations are one of the most important ways we can get engaged as organizers and as citizens. Talking to friends, neighbors, and elected representatives about pressing issues is vital, and being informed on the latest can help make those conversations easier.
