With the midterms fast approaching, I want to call attention to some of the people who make our democracy work.
Poll workers play a crucial role in the administration of our elections -- helping voters cast their ballots, and making sure elections run smoothly. Without unbiased poll workers, our democracy doesn't function.
Recently, however, poll workers have been the target of threats, intimidation, and harassment by people trying to undermine our elections and tilt the results in their favor. That's why All On The Line has working hard to find and mobilize poll workers for the midterm elections -- because we can't let the bullies win.
Your work with All On The Line helps safeguard the integrity of our elections by making sure that our local election officials are fair, impartial, and dedicated to successfully executing our elections and defending democracy.

The right to vote -- like all of our rights -- is meaningless if it can't be put into practice. Poll workers are uniquely positioned to determine whether a vote can be cast, whether a provisional ballot should be considered, or whether a candidate's operations on Election Day are in violation of electioneering laws -- all important parts of a healthy democracy.
That's partly why some folks are trying to intimidate poll workers -- and it's why All On The Line is fighting so hard to make sure our elections continue to run smoothly and fairly.
