Since the President signed Obamacare into law on March 23rd, 2010, 20 million Americans have gained the security and peace of mind that comes with access to affordable care. Being a woman is no longer viewed as a pre-existing condition -- and those who do have pre-existing conditions no longer have to fear losing their coverage. This saves lives, and lifts an economic burden from hard-working Americans and their families. It means so much for so many, and it's why standing by the President as he signed this bill into law has been one of the proudest moments of my career in public service.
