Before our quarterly fundraising deadline at midnight tomorrow, pitch in to help elect a Democratic president and Democrats up and down the ticket in every state:
If you went to a few of Donald Trump's rallies throughout this election, you would have gotten used to racist and sexist slogans on signs and t-shirts, insulting language, Confederate flags -- even the occasional fight.
But last night in Iowa, Donald Trump did something that's truly scary, even by the low standards of an official Trump campaign event:
First, he asked the crowd to "raise your hand if you are not a Christian conservative." When a few people did, he asked: "Should we keep them?"
He'll probably try to laugh that off as a joke, as he's done with other offensive statements before.
But remember that this is a candidate whose signature campaign pledge is to build a wall on our southern border. Who has proposed a "deportation force" to round up immigrants and rip families apart. Who has already said, repeatedly, that he would ban Muslims from entering this country solely because of their religion.
Diane, this guy has a good shot at becoming the next President of the United States, with all the power that office holds. Are you prepared to let that happen?
Before our deadline tomorrow night -- the last big quarterly reporting deadline of this election -- pitch in $10 or more.
