| Friends, we're coming to you with good news and bad news in the fight for fair maps, and for once, we're going to start with the good news! All over the country, folks are getting involved in the redistricting process and demanding an end to gerrymandered maps: "The number of Americans who have engaged with ... the decennial redistricting process has hit ... new heights"

-- Wisconsin Public Radio | | | The bad news is that despite this unprecedented level of public engagement, Republicans are still plowing ahead with their plan to "engineer a [U.S. House] majority with new maps," according to CNN. Republicans need to flip just three seats to win the majority, and an analysis by The New York Times suggests that they could do it with gerrymandering alone!
With that in mind, we have two choices on where to go from here: - We can give up and allow Republicans to draw themselves into nearly unbreakable majorities for the next decade.
- OR we can dig in our heels and do everything we can to fight back and PROTECT our democracy!
